Indian Navy has earlier invited online applications from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors for 2200 vacancies for Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) August 2021 batch & 500 Posts for AA Artificer Apprentice 150 Batch. Selection Process : Selection of recruits is based on State wise merit of their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations. Indian Navy SSR Exam was of Objective Type comprised 100 Questions carrying 100 Marks. The question paper comprised of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. There was Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks in Exam.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) :
(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
(b) PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
Process after Indian Navy SSR Online Exam Result:
- Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-
(a) AA- Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for
AA will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka.
(b) SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.
Note:- The cut off marks for issue of call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka may vary from state to state for SSR entry. - Candidates who are qualified in PFT will undergo Preliminary Recruitment medical examination. Candidates declared Temporary Medically Unfit in the Preliminary Recruitment medicals can avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/ appeal is permissible if declared unfit in the specialist review.
- The documents submitted by the candidates along with application will not be verified before the online examination. These original documents {original certificates, mark sheets, Domicile certificate and NCC certificate (if held)} will be verified at the time of PFT and again before final enrolment at INS Chilka

Indian Navy AA SSR Cut Off Marks/ Merit List 2021: The qualifying cut off marks for appearing in PFT & Preliminary Recruitment Medical may vary from State to State. Allocation of centres for PFT and Preliminary Recruitment Medical Examination will be at the discretion of the Indian Navy. A State wise merit list will be published for candidates who have passed in PFT and Preliminary Recruitment Medical Examination depending upon vacancies. In case of candidates securing similar cut off marks in Computer Based Examination, the candidate with higher percentage in the qualifying examination i.e 10th will be selected for Final Enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka.
NOTE : In case of candidates securing similar cut off marks in Computer Based Examination, the candidate with higher percentage in the qualifying examination i.e 10+2 will be selected for Final Enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka (The percentage will be calculated taking into consideration best of five subjects including Maths and Physics).
