AFCAT 02 2022 Online Application Starts from 1 June

The Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 2 2022 short notification as of 19th May 2022 for the course commencing in July 2023. The Air Force Common Admission Test is the entrance exam conducted by the Indian Air Force for the enrollment of Class-1 Gazette Officers in Flying and Ground Duties, technical and non-technical. The AFCAT is conducted twice a year, once in February and later in August/September. The exam has to be attempted in English. The application mode will be online and the exam will be a computer-based exam. Aspiring candidates can register from 1st to 30th June 2022.

AFCAT 2 2022 Notification:

The Indian Air Force released a Short Notification on 19th May 2022 and will release an Official Notification on 1st June 2022.

The AFCAT 2 2022 registrations will start from 1st June 2022 and will end on 30th June 2022. Candidates can register from the official website https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in or https://afcat.cdac.in.

AFCAT 2 2022 Admit Card:

The admit cards for the exam are released two weeks before the exam by the Indian Air Force. Candidates appearing for the exam are required to download and print the admit card and have it ready for the exam.

AFCAT 2 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

  • For candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by the DGCA India, the upper age limit is relaxed to 26 years.
  • Candidates below the age of 25 years should be unmarried during the time of commencement of the course.
  • Widows/widowers and divorcees, with or without encumbrances, below 25 years of age are also not eligible.

AFCAT Educational Qualification

  • AFACT Flying Branch Educational Qualification:

The candidates applying for the Flying Branch vacancies must have one of the following educational qualifications.

  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with a minimum of three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
  • AFACT Technical Ground Duty Educational Qualification:

The Technical Ground Duty post is divided into two categories such as Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical). Therefore, the eligibility criteria of these two posts are mentioned separately to clear the confusion.

AFCAT EducationMBA/ MCA or MA/ MSc degree in English/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International relations/ International Studies/ Defence Studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management/ Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relation with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
AFCAT MeteorologyPost Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Geography/Computer Applications/Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology/Ecology & Environment /Geophysics/Environmental Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in each).  
NCC Flying BranchNCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after January 01, 2017, is mandatory. Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 and Graduates with a minimum of three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.  

AFACT 2 2022 Vacancy:

The Indian Air Force will announce vacancies on the 1st of June. For AFCAT 1 2022, total number of vacancies was 317. Entry-wise vacancy for the January 2023 course is provided to get an understanding of the possible AFACT 2 2022cvacancies.
