CDS 1 2023 Notification

CDS 1 2023 Notification Syllabus, Notification, Eligibility. UPSC will be conducting the CDS exam to recruit candidates for course conducted by Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy. CDS is a national level exam and conducted twice a year In this article you will know all the details about this examination.

ELIGIBILITY: 

(i) For Indian Military Academy (IMA)— Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd Jan, 2000 and not later than 1st Jan, 2005 only are eligible.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy (INA)— Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd Jan, 2000 and not later than 1st Jan, 2005 only are eligible.

(iii) For Air Force Academy (AFA) — 20 to 24 years as on 1st Jan, 2024 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd Jan, 2000 and not later than 1st Jan, 2004 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd Jan, 1999 and not later than 1st Jan, 2004) only are eligible.

(iv) For Officers’ Training Academy — (SSC Course for men & women) unmarried candidates born not earlier than 2nd Jan, 1999 and not later than 1st Jan, 2005 only are eligible.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: 

(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy—Have completed Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution in India.

(iii) For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

VACANCIES:

1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun— 156th Course commencing in Jan, 2024  total of 100 Vacancies

2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala—Course commencing in Jan, 2024 Executive (General Service)/Hydro  total of 22 Vacancies

3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in Jan, 2024 i.e. No. 215 F(P) Course  total of 32 Vacancies

4. Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras)— 119th SSC (Men) Course (NT) commencing in April, 2024  total of 170 Vacancies

5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai—33rd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2024 total of  17 Vacancies

HOW TO APPLY STEP BY STEP PROCESS

(i) Candidates who wish to apply can apply Online using the link www.upsconline.nic.in.

(ii) You have to get register yourself first. You will get registration number on your registered mobile no. and email Id.

(iii) Now Login in using your details and pay your examination fees.

(iv) Now upload all the required details and upload your photo,signature and identity proof as described there.

(v) Now select your examination centre and submit your application. Save your applicatio print for future reference.

APPLICATION FEES:

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee Rs. 200/- this amount can be paid through online debit or credit card transactions. You can also pay through net banking or any other mode of online transactions which is accepted.

How to Prepare for the UPSC CDS Exam 2023?

UPSC CDS is one of the most competitive examinations that is conducted in this discipline. To crack the examination you need a definite preparation strategy and hard work untill you achieve it.

  • The total marks of the examination are 500 where 300 marks are allotted for the CDS I written test and 200 marks are allotted for the CDS II written test.
  • The total time to complete the examination is 6 hours with 2 hours required to complete each section.
  • Similarly, 4 hours are allotted to complete the written test for the CDS II exam. All the questions are MCQ in nature.
  • For math, the difficulty of questions in the written exam is set at the class 10 level whereas, for other subjects, the difficulty is a little higher and set at the graduation level.
